Its basedon the contract– not no the price. You can do a 3, 6, 9 months….ANYTHING you want, really. Its based on what the sellers wants.

Most will keep it listed until it sells, though they may want to take it off the market after a few months if it doesn’t sell, then put it back on in a few weeks. Gives people looking the chance to see it again and think it’s a new listing. They may even want you to drop the price a few thousand so they can yell “Look! Reduced Price!” in hopes of selling it.
Any kind of actual agreement, would be between you and the Realtor.
